AUBURN, Washington – In conjunction with National Condom Week and its condom awareness promotion, Peekay, Inc. (Peekay) has donated over $2,000 to Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties.
Peekay donated five cents from every condom its Lovers, A Touch of Romance, and ConRev retail stores sold during National Condom Week, which took place from Feb. 14-21.
"It's more important than ever to provide safe sex education to young people in our communities, and we're happy to be able to support Planned Parenthood's efforts in this area," said Phyllis Heppenstall, founder and COB of Peekay. "I'm especially proud of our employees who did a wonderful job of promoting our ‘safe sex zones' to our customers."
"Many thanks to Peekay for its generosity and commitment to promoting healthy sexuality," said Liz Reilly, Development Director at PPGNW. "With Peekay's support, someone you know will be informed, stay healthy and take care of themselves. Thank you Peekay for ensuring that Planned Parenthood is always there."
"We're grateful for Peekay's partnership and their shared goal of keeping our community safe and healthy. Their donation will be used to continue providing women, men, and young adults in with the tools and information they need to prevent unintended pregnancies and to plan families when they're ready," said Jon Dunn, President and CEO Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties.
This is the second time in three years that Peekay has partnered with Planned Parenthood during National Condom Week.
